"From bad to verse"?? Dude.

Am I the only one who finds this just a BIT insulting? Poetry as punishment? Please! They're not even trying now. I'm all for the redemptive power of poetry, but this is just ridiculous. I've always felt that poetry needs to be a choice - however one comes to it, it shouldn't be force-fed.

I don't know why I expect a Frost biographer to know better than to try and wield explications of "The Road Not Taken" and "Out, Out-" with such blunt moral heavy-handedness. I mean, Frosty might as well have been a puritanical pamphleteer.

Personally, were I the judge in this case, I think I would have made them clean up their own frakking vomit and piss. It doesn't even matter that this had been Frost's house. You just don't do that to ANYONE'S house.

:headdesk:

Is it Friday yet??
